Trainee Fatigue Survey

As trainees, we are required to work shifts during antisocial hours. Often, the rest facilities available to us are very limited. Fatigue, stress and ill health are inevitable outcomes of lack of proper rest during and after such shifts. Following the death of a trainee driving home after a night shift, we are very keen to find out from trainees what the impact of fatigue has upon their work and lives.

We hope that this information will enable us to raise concerns and lead to better rest facilities both during and after shifts, improving the safety and wellbeing of trainees in Europe. We would be most grateful if you would spend a few minutes filling in this important survey, which is supported by the ESAIC Trainees Committee and the EBA.
